Model of Care

Person-Centred, Trauma-Informed & Strengths-Based.

Our model of care is not a framework on paper — it is lived in every interaction, every plan and every decision made by our team.

01

Understanding the Whole Person

We begin with the individual — their history, trauma, strengths, culture and goals. Assessments go far beyond clinical need.

02

Building Trust Through Consistency

Consistent keyworkers and stable routines create the safety and predictability that allow genuine healing and growth.

03

Promoting Choice & Independence

We support people to make informed decisions, take positive planned risks, and build confidence in daily life.

04

Reducing Risk Positively

Risk is managed through positive support planning — focusing on what people can do, not just what might go wrong.

05

Developing Life Skills

From budgeting and cooking to travel training and employment pathways — we help people grow at their own pace.

06

Community Integration

We support safe access to community groups, social activities, cultural events and local services.

Positive Behaviour Support

Behaviour Is Communication.

At Majestic Homes, we recognise that behaviour is often a form of communication. Where a person presents with behaviours that challenge, we do not react — we seek to understand. Our PBS approach helps people improve quality of life by reducing restrictive and reactive responses.

Support plans focus on prevention, dignity and the least restrictive practice — developed collaboratively with the individual, their family and the wider care team.

Unmet needs and goals
01

Understand

We seek to understand the reasons behind behaviour — triggers, history, needs and communication styles — before responding.

02

Plan Positively

Support plans are built around prevention and de-escalation, not reaction. We use the least restrictive approaches possible.

03

De-escalate

Staff are trained in proven de-escalation techniques that preserve dignity, emotional regulation and personal safety.

04

Review & Learn

We review incidents, reflect on what worked and continuously update plans to improve outcomes for the person.

Independence & Life Skills

Building the Skills for Real Life.

Independence isn't given — it's built, step by step, at each person's own pace. Our enthusiastic support workers help residents build on their strengths, develop new skills and move forward with confidence and dignity.
